Hey guys! Hope everyone has had some good holidays. As we just passed the tail end of December, I'd like to say thank you to everyone who helped make 2012 such an awesome year for all of the Death Polka tune-age. This year had some gnarly shows, including Farmageddon Records Music Festival in Montana, Punx in the Woods in Washington and a one-month US tour. This upcoming 2013 is going to be something pretty spectacular, here's a little bit of what's currently in the works:

As of now I am in San Diego CA working a temp job to save up some money. I got into town a few weeks ago and it's been going okay. I met up recently with my pal Clint from the Whiskey Avengers and we've discussed making a few tunes together and performing them around town. I'm pretty pumped to get working on those after the new year starts. Should be fun!

Temp job means money...money means gasoline in Bessie the Fearless Minivan's Tank....gas in the tank means more tours! As of now there is one three month tour set up for March to May of 2013. Booking will begin in early January and I'll be doing my best to make it back to a lot of places and travel out to a lot of spots that I've been missing on routes over the past few years! Really excited for that.

One of the things that I'm the most pumped to talk about is...

I have reserved the dates with Howl Street Recordings. It only took about three years, but I have FINALLY written a group of songs that I think will go together well enough to make what is shaping up to be a pretty amazing full-length collection of accordion/ukulele/some other new instrument-powered tunes (if I do say so myself).

To top it all off, I've got a few guest recording spots with some other groups that I'll be doing before it's time to set sail on the Spring adventure. I'm not able to talk about them now, but the musicians that I'll be working with and the songs that I've heard so far are some really well-written numbers. Wish I could say more, but it's best not to talk about these kinds of things until they're ready!

None of any of this would have been possible without YOU. If it wasn't for you, and everyone like you who keeps coming out and supporting shows, sharing tunes with your pals, getting drunk with me and doing stuff that we probably forgot about (worth it!) Any of the aforementioned reasons or others that I'm unaware of that has drawn you to the Death Polka machine is absolutely humbling to me. I can't find the words to truly express how grateful I am to everyone who made 2012 such a great run for the music and the tours and everything else! Let's blast some Death Polka in 2013's face! Where's my cider?
